Taste of Cayman 2013

Every year around the end of January Camana Bay holds a big food festival called The Taste Of Cayman. There are booths from almost every restaurant on island where you can sample foods and vote for your favorite. I did not get a chance to go last year but made a point of it this year. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door. They include  15  food tickets  which you can use to buy food from the vendors.

There are also alcohol booths run by different liquor distributors and stores on the island. Two tips I can give here
  1. Get 25 tickets and you get a commemorative plastic wine glass. These are awesome to use later at pool and beach parties
  2. Wait to spend these. As the night went on the liquor booths were slashing prices, a glass of wine went from 7 tickets a glass to 5 towards the end of the night.

The only tip I can offer with regards to food is don't wait too long for desert. The good ones go fast :)

This was a really fun night that I highly recommend. You will run into a ton of people you know and probably meet many more.
