This has been a dream of mine since I can remember. Leaving cold and icy Edmonton Alberta.
I had applied to an offshore recruitment agency two years out of university. I heard nothing from them until a year and a half ago (I have been out of University for 6 years now). Luckily for me a new guy took over the IT department of the agency and he wanted to know if I was still interested. I definitely was!
I had two interviews for jobs in Bermuda but I was not a right fit for either. Finally at the beginning of this year I interviewed with a company in the Cayman Islands. After a phone interview and a skype interview I got the job!
I am three weeks away from my departure date and have a ton of emotions going through me. Excitement, fear, exhaustion...
So what am I leaving behind?
Accident on my way to work!
Janurary at my mom's house
Sunset in Janurary
Shoveling snow! Worst snow fall ever.

ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteStumbled across your blog while doing research about moving to the Cayman Islands. I can't begin to tell you how deceivingly informative your blog was to read. It's nice to get an idea a view of what life would be like on the islands through the eyes of a fellow Canadian. I am hoping to become employed there within the next year but just don't have a clue where to begin.
Thanks! If have the right qualifications then getting a job here is not that hard. I suggest you contact http://www.cmlor.com/location/cayman-jobs.html.
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for service industry jobs I think your best bet is to just come down and apply here.
